i think that it is awesome that a snanke can eat a gator that is amazing! i would think the gator would eat the snake but the snake must of been pretty dang strong

i say your all stupi cos it not hard to see that the snake swallowed the gator then was attacked by anouther gater, the python tried to defend its self and in the snakes sharp movements the streched skin tore the attacking aligator then bit off the snakes head then retraeted bak to the water.

I think it's pretty obvious what happened here. The snake ate a gator egg years ago, and the baby gator lived in his stomach maybe 10 years, snacking on everything the snake ate and growing and growing. Finally calling to his mother to bite the snake's head off so he could break free, alas he had grown too fat to ever get out, and with no head the snake could no longer feed poor baby greedy gator. Seriously folks, the snake mistakenly ate the gator before it was dead, which is VERY COMMON when it comes to eating prey that can feign death and hold its breath for an extended period. The gator would feign death until the last moment and release all of its energy in death throes, slicing the stomach open with rear claws and releasing its tail with the powerful side-to-side motion that it's body is built for. Any animal or person could have removed the snake's head post mortem. This really is not a mystery, just a cool picture of a meal gone bad. Reading some of the comments posted her made me laugh and vomit a little at the same time.

it wouldnt have to kick later on, the claws are sharp, just moving along the digestion tract would be enough to cut it inside.

i thought this was a really kool pic i mean the alligator didnt have to actually bother the snake while it was chillin but it was kool how that friggin snake open up its small mouth which had turn huge after tryin to swallow the alligator n its so kool how it does that but i think the alligator should have died for hours or min without oxygen i would suffocate duh who wouldnt well i thought it was kool yall think its kruel or sumthin o well its ur opinion 🐛

I shot 5 gators in a licensed hunt in 1999. All of them kept moving long after their were killed with 1) sharp edged arrowhead to the spine 2) bangstick to the brain 3) spinal cord at the base of the skull was manually cut. All of them wriggled, blinked their eyes, and acted alive even when their brain was completely cut off from their bodies.
Gators are super primitive creatures. So are snakes, which do swallow prey that turns out to be bigger than they can handle.
