Toilet Paper Rejected By Beatles

image Up for sale on eBay is a roll of toilet paper rejected by the Beatles. It supposedly once occupied the toilet in the E.M.I. Abbey Road Studios in 1962 when the Beatles were recording there, but it was removed because the Beatles found it to be too hard and shiny. Plus, it had E.M.I. printed on it, which the Fab Four thought to be a bit strange. Bidding has already reached over £5,000. If you're a Beatles fan it would be a pretty cool souvenir, but my question is how anyone can be sure that this is the actual roll removed from the bathroom? What if it's just an old roll of E.M.I. toilet paper?

E-mail Linda Polley and ask her to ask John up in heaven to confirm or deny if this is actual toilet paper they refused to use... you know, if he's got the time to check the auction in his busy schedule of fighting wars and writing songs about them up there

I guess it works like that.
"Toilet Paper Rejected By Beatles" Starts from 10.
"Hmm, nice joke. It is just 10 pounds. No biggy"
"20 pounds a little bit more then I expect. Oh, well.."
"100 pounds already. I guess somebody likes that E.M.I. pattern very much. I can use it as a wallpaper too. Good thinking crash2783"
"200? Are they crazy. Hmm.. handwritten certificate. I suppose I can frame it..."
"500!!! Looks like somebody knows something. Could it be..."
"1000!! O'my'gush. This thing is real. I must have it.."
"5000!!! I don't care. This freaking Hellcat78 will not have it. Back off. It is mine"

Lox, you've made me happy. You could I suppose look up Mark Lewisohn's 'Sessions', which is a detailed account of the Beatles' recording time at Abbey Road; they did their first album in just nine hours, and depending on what they ate the night before you could probably work out how frequently and when they went to the toilet. There are some Beatles fans who will probably try to work this out.

Oh dear god its at 5,300 pounds!!! Maybe the first few bids were fakes by the sellers friends so more people would bid. I heard that happens on ebay...

The timing of the appearance of this roll of toilet paper is a bit suspicious...Every January 1st a new lot of official archives are released for public viewing; this year a series of correspondence relating to the quality of the toilet paper in government premises became available for public perusal. The file contained complaints and discussion from approx 30 years previous of replacement options for the hard, glassy, unabsorbant, rasping official government issue tissue. I can't remember if it related to Australian or English government premises but the story could have provided inspiration for an Ebay fiend - if the item was posted after Jan 1st.

Wait, the Beatles didn't like the toilet paper because it was too hard and shiny?? I understand why you wouldn't want hard paper but why would you care if it was shiny? You're just going to be rubbing your ass with it anyways, who cares what it looks like.
