Saudi Bride

image Here's an image going around, captioned "Saudi Bride." First of all, I think it's safe to assume that these two aren't really bride and groom. I don't think she's wearing traditional Saudi wedding attire. (Though maybe she really is a bride... perhaps an American one.) Also, the guy's face has obviously been photoshopped. For instance, the left ear has been reduced in size, while the right ear has been enlarged. In fact, I'd guess that his entire face has been pasted into the photo.

Yup, Alex, it looks pretty fake, but you have the ears reversed. His left ear has been INCREASED in size and the right one shrunk.

<a >Snopes</a> has a copy of the non-photoshopped picture of bride and groom. They've labelled it (and others) as being from a Russian wedding, and she's a belly-dancer.

i live (and got married) in moscow. my first thought was that the dress was russian. it is not uncommon (perhaps 1 in a thousand) for brides to dress very revealingly on their wedding day. i have seen other wedding dresses like this. among certain social groups here it is considered acceptable and prestigious to show off. husbands will sometimes pay to take out ads in the newspaper showing their wives nude, trophy wife thing. no need for her to be a belly dancer or other exotic reason.

the snoops photos look russian in other ways. the building looks like a zags (russians get married in government buildings, not churches). the poses, flowers, and outfits (including the sashes worn by the best man and maid of honor) are normal for a russian wedding. even the faces look russian.

Assuming Snopes has the original, non-photoshopped images, the groom really ahd pretty big hands.
I think that revealing wedding attire, for particularly young, attractive, brides, may be an idea whose time has come here in the US. Should be, anyway. Hey, I'll start going to weddings-and stop regifting stuff from the office Christmas party as well!

Yes, this is in fact, an accurate photograph.... only the turban-donning man isn't the one in the photo- he's just a regular Joe.

Excuse me . but it's not a traditional saudi wedding. because of we are in saudi arabia wear in weddings 'Shmagh' and 'Thob' and sometimes ' Besht' and we never put this turban. also,the bride can't wear this jewelries. she must where gold and diamonds.
