Statue of Jesus Shoots Sparks
Visitors to the Liverpool Academy of Art have claimed that a sculpture of Jesus has shot sparks from its eyes. 'Cleansing of the Temple' by Brian Burgess is a steel and bronze statue. Some visitors have also apparently gone into a trance whilst kneeling at the base of the sculpture. The artist says: "I worked on the piece for about a year but I never saw any sparks apart from those coming from the welding torch."

Snorkeler Mistaken for Rodent
John William Cheesman was shot in the face whilst diving when a 60-year-old man mistook him for a nutria - a type of water-dwelling South American rodent. The shooter, William Roderick, has been charged with assault, being a felon in possession of a firearm, and possession of methamphetamine and marijuana.

May I be the first to say: What an ugly sculpture. I mean, honestly. And I know how difficult sculpture is, but that's just absolutely horrifying.

Isn't man kind and religion a wonderfull thing?

"My X-Box started bleeding real blood and shows images of jesus on my TV when I pause a game"

Head-ache.... big head-ache, stop adding to it.

I belive in UFO's after seeing one for myself and I do belive in Aliens but my belife is not based on my experiance.

A religious icon doing something out of the ordinary, the idea has been done to death, but I personaly have never seen such a thing, so I cannot belive it.

Dracul, I agree the statue is ugly but I wonder: it is because of the camera angle?

I'd say it's the camera angle. The image on their website shows it from the front and it's not as hideous. In fact, I think it's rather cool looking.

No - it's still hideous. And the bald pix are fake, to a great extent.

I just went back to the metro.co.uk site to look at the picture again and noticed one of the side notices talked about Milli Vanilli getting a movie done about their career. Or, maybe that report is a hoax about a hoax.

The bald pics look photoshopped or otherwise doctored for the most part. I think they are to just give you an idea what the various "famous" people would look like sans hair. I would have prefered real bald people to show that getting bald isn't the end of the world.

Actually, if I would be seeing sparks I'd go to my eyedoctor. Ablation of the cornea in early stages may lead to seeing sparks or white spots.
