Ocean's 11 Conman
"It was one of the most audacious jewel thefts in history. In the middle of a crowded room, the famed Star of the Empress Sisi was stolen from its high-security case and replaced with a replica." (Thanks, Joe)

Turkey Mystery
Turkeys mysteriously show up in a town, and then wander away. "After entertaining residents of Harborview Drive on Thanksgiving morning, 15 turkeys departed - in single file - about 1 p.m. Thursday and have not been seen since, residents said Friday."

FEMA not the only agency to hold fake press conferences
Apparently Immigration and Customs Enforcement does it too. (Thanks, Gary)

The EPFX Quack Medicine Machine
Its inventor, William Nelson, claims it can diagnose and destroy disease. The FDA says it's a fraud. And it's just one example from the growing field of "energy medicine." (Thanks, Joe)

Maybe the turkeys were on a protest...

The EPFX may have some, and extremely slight, scientific basis for certain of its claims. Radio waves were under investigation to treat cancer not too long ago. However, the frequencies used were much higher than what the EPFX seems to use since the article mentions low-frequency waves. And the idea of the body having an energy field that needs to be in balance is not new, it is centuries old; think Ki or the medieval humors philosophies. Both are based on an energy field that has to be in balance. Clearly the FDA is attacking the ancient philosophies of other cultures.

"The EPFX Quack Medicine Machine,Its inventor, William Nelson...."

Shouldn't Willie Nelson be at Farm Aid instead of EPFX?

I just realized why the turkeys were wandering around the town on Thanksgiving Day. They knew that no one would have time to shoot, clean, and cook them that day. Besides, everyone had all the turkey they could handle, and more. So the turkeys just showed off because it was safe and then left before anyone thought about Christmas turkey.
