Pop singer Chris De Burgh supposedly cures a woman's paralyzed arm by laying on his "healing hands." I had no idea who he even was when I first saw this. But I googled him and found out he's the guy who sings "Lady In Red." There's already a Church of Tom Jones. So why not a Church of Chris De Burgh?

Apparently these are the hot new thing at Korean brothels. "A 'doll experience room' is a place punters rent for some W25,000(US$1=W958) an hour, a fee that includes a bed, a computer, and an inflatable sex doll."

Pelican Swallows Pigeon
Not a hoax. Just odd. What happened: "the bird got up and strolled along until it reached one of the pigeons, which it just grabbed in its beak. There was a bit of a struggle for about 20 minutes, with all these people watching. The pelican only opened its mouth a couple of times. Then it managed to get the pigeon to go head first down its throat. It was kicking and flapping the whole way down." This news story inspired blogger Faye Williams to create a list of the Top 10 I’ve Got Eyes Bigger Than My Belly stories.

RIP: Pink Flamingo, 1957-2006
Union Products of Leominster, Massachusetts, is scheduled to close its doors on November 1. It's apparently the only maker of pink flamingoes in America. It's being forced to close due to "increases in costs of electricity and plastic resin." Does this mean pink flamingoes will never again congregate on the front lawn of UW-Madison?

As far as the pelican eating a pigeon, they're not the only ones. Apparently.. I think it's in Rome.. some seagulls have learned to prey on the abundant pigeons. Of course, they're not equipped to swallow whole like the pelican, so it's a rather grisly spectacle of a gull basically pecking a struggling bird half its size to death.

The pelican one I have seen and it is entirely real.Perhaps this is the first evolountionary step towards some type of giant kiler pelican!Oh,and can someone say thanks for sving the world.

I'm sure the flamingos will still converge -- they'll just be cheap, tacky imported plastic flamingos, in contrast to cheap, tacky, domestic plastic flamingos.

Regarding the "Doll Experience Rooms," honest to whatever, about a month ago, I asked my wife if she thought that a brother featuring Real Dolls would be illegal. It ocurred to me that you could rent time with the doll in a private room and claim that you had no idea what people did in there (nor do you WANT to know).

The thought was just one of the little "mind experiments" that I indulge in from time to time. Some of them have evolved into full-blown hoaxes and a lot of them, like the "doll brothel" don't really go anywhere. I find it funny that someone apparantly had the same idea and has made an actual business out of it.

I've never seen a pelican swallow a pidgeon. I have, however seen a swallow lick a pidge on a pel. That was gross

Pelicans!This means war against pigeons!We have the stingrays on our side!Humans,squirrels,elephant,penguins,stingrays,pigeons are going to have a war to control the world in a year and you've just stuck youre oversized beaks right into it.Oh and there will be more flamingos.We put them there in foresight of the thousands of the flamingos that are goin to die(we use them as shock troops).
