Push-Button Bugles
The military has a problem: not enough bugle players to play taps at all the military funerals. Therefore, they came up with the solution of bugles implanted with electronic chips that contain a recording of taps. No skill is required to play them, beyond being able to flip a switch. Now a group is protesting the use of the fake bugles, and is calling on bugle players throughout the nation to assist at military funerals:

This is not just a problem in US this is a huge problem in UK as well. I am needing a bugle player to perform the Last Post at my fathers funeral this Tuesday (9th June 09)and after contacting numerous army/airforce/navy/cadet/scout etc.... organisations it shocked me to find out they all use these fake toys to con everybody!
What has happened?
This basic instrument is becoming or HAS become extinct!
RIP the bugle!
