Office Freakout Video Turns Out to be Fake

For the past few weeks a video (apparently Russian) of some guy freaking out at his office has been doing the rounds. Tobester posted about it in the forum, speculating that it was real. But no, it isn't. Wired reports that it was covert marketing for the upcoming movie Wanted, starring Morgan Freeman and Angelina Jolie:

The undercover advert hit its target spot-on, amassing nearly 4 million views and almost 5,500 Diggs in the week since it was posted.
The video is supposed to invoke themes about escaping one's everyday life -- a point that was probably missed by many, seeing as the guy in the video (above) appears to be going completely and utterly insane.
Wanted hits theaters June 27. It's the first stateside production for Russian director Bekmambetov, whose previous works include the phenomenal dark fantasy flicks Day Watch and Night Watch.

I felt bad for that poor girl who got hit in the face with a computer. 😛 But it's obvious it's fake, no way would everyone just stand around while he went crazy. Most people would try to get out. I know I would be out the door pretty quickly.

As soon as they tasered him at the end I questioned it...

I saw the clip briefly on TV, and don't feel like loading it here, but from what I've seen, most of the computer/monitors he's trashing are older, nonflat screens, or Non macs... I've got a roomfull of old PCs, and I'd love to trash them too... actually, I'd like to go to a theme park that offered that ride- The Tunnel Of Postality... you get to go in, jump on the desks, and toss old pcs all about... nice tee- I Went To Postal World And All I Got Was This Lousy Busted Floppy Disk Drive

Watch the first few seconds of the clip, and you'll see that the man is moving the keyboard to make the papers fall, which starts the tirade.
