More Faces in Trees

At least two or three faces seen in trees seem to get reported a month, and I faithfully note them here. Here are the latest:

imageLodi, California: Emily West was doing some meditating over the weekend in her sister's backyard in central Lodi when something caught her eye. "I looked up and saw the face of Christ in the fence and I said, "Whoa," West said. She called her sister Ana over to ask what she saw. She too agreed, it was the Son of God.

Cranky Media Guy forwarded me this story with the comment, "If this is the face of Jesus, then the Son of God is wearing one of those laser-equipped face masks like the Cylons on the original Battlestar Galactica." Yes, well that sounds perfectly reasonable to me. Jesus might be a big Battlestar Galactica fan.

And here's a a second face in a tree seen in Portland, Maine, though there are no details about exactly where it was seen, or by whom.

The thing about this image is that I can see two faces. There's the one on the left, outlined in blue lines below. But there's also the face outlined in green lines (on the right), which is actually the one I saw first.

That is hilarious! The first one? I got no idea what those women were seeing, must've been the crack they had first! Why is it ALWAYS Jesus or Mary? Why not Spielberg, Bogart, or Pacino? Ya' know, Bob Seger might be honored if somebody claimed to see his face is some dried up grease or a burnt tamale sometime! At least we KNOW what those folks looked like...

And as for that second sighting? I like your ghoulish face you saw first! I spit my beer when I read that one!!!

CMG, I don't even see a Cylon face there, much less that of Jesus. And Alex, I think the second image is that of a druid. Look at the right hand picture, there is a sprig of holly or mistletoe just above the smallest oval you drew. Of course, looking at it for a while I can see that the sprig could also be that of a man with a halo. Take a line up the axis of the smallest oval and where it intersects a line from the axis of the "eye" oval is where the sprig/face is, it is aligned along the axis of the "eye" oval with the top of the head to the upper left as you look at it.

okay, the top knot says Prince of Egypt to me, the center knotty Jesus weirds me out, the Blue Line Jesus looks like bad grafitti of Matthew Machonahagie(sp) throwing up, and the last one looks like a rhino. You're welcome

Ok, in the first picture; long hair, beard, of course they say it's Christ. But then, the big bushy monobrow (at least that's the way it looks to me), says Neanderthal.

But... neither one of them had an elephant's trunk for a nose curled over their head, and I definitely see one here!

Crappadoodle! Hit submit too soon!
To continue:

The second picture, Yep, I'd say it looks like a druid too. Or maybe, it's the tree Merlin is trapped in? wink

At least this one has a clue to the figure's identity; look in the lower right hand corner, by the "beard". Is that the initials JLA or ULA?

Obviously, the first places to check would be Justice League of America, or Underwriters Laboratory!

Actually, now that I look more closely at it, the "Cylon" picture actually looks like Jesus is wearing a welder's mask.

Maybe on top of being a carpenter, He was a ironworker on the side.

The Cylon/welder Jesus also seems to have a snorkel. Maybe he had some underwater welding to do in between carpentry jobs?

Yet again, I am reminded that I really should be looking for Jesus more closely so I can make a fortune off Ebay.

"And it came to pass that on that day, Jesus had to perform some underwater welding. He did and it was pleasing in His sight, as its bead was straight and true.

"The people of Nazareth saw the job He had done and rejoiced, all save Judas who owned a competing welding concern and was mightily jealous."

I saw a smiley face made of chives in my hamburger yesterday. I couldn't tell if it was Jesus or not.

I can't see a single thing in the first one. Seriously, what was she using to help her 'meditate' that she could see a face in there?

But the second one looks really good. Now that's what you call a face in a tree.

... actually, that first one looks like Obi Wan Kenobee (?) from Star Wars, looking out a knot-hole in a picket fence...

the duality of the bottom tree is definitely Christ and the anti-Christ, the latter reprising his/her role in Munch's "The Scream"

1. Emmitt Kelly in sunglasses.
2. Emmitt Kelly with his mouth open.

I think the first one is more like a side=view profile.

Oh, wow -- I never would have gotten it without that "hint" (if I can call it that, Maegan). Now I see it, and it actually does look more like the popular conception of Jesus than many of the other Jesus-Found-In-Something-Ordinary photos that float around.

That said, I never have understood the significance of these things, and I'm a believer. Oh, well -- whatever makes them happy, I guess.

Theres a tree outside my house, it looks like a vagina complete with a clitoris. Sometimes when i walk by to look at it, its oozing something like tree sap.

I'll take a picture if anyone gives a damn.
