Jesus in an Ultrasound

imageFollowing hot on the heels of the chocolate Virgin Mary (which, as many people pointed out, looked more like the Maltese Falcon) comes: Jesus as seen on an ultrasound picture.

Seven months through her pregnancy, Laura Turner went for a routine ultrasound. She already knew that her son had a cleft lip, and she and her partner had been told there was a possibility of the child having Down's Syndrome. She says that she didn't notice anything particularly odd about the scan until a friend pointed it out once they got home.

'The pregnancy has been fairly difficult so to see a likeness of Jesus in the picture gives me a lot of comfort.

'It's as if someone is watching over Joshua. It's helped make us feel more at ease and although I'm not very religious, seeing the picture does reassure me that things are going to turn out okay and that Joshua will be our little miracle.'

I suppose that, what with the difficult pregnancy, it's a very heartening sign for her.

That's only one picture. A whole lot more ultrasounds reveal images of the Roman god Priapus. :cheese:

I see Jesus everywhere... of course... that's not being specific. I see the Hispanic Jesus's and then the white guys who don't know what a haircut is Jesus's and... so many others....

One time I saw a sign that said "Vote Jesus for water committee" You can't go wrong with that!

If it is a face it is a deformed one. The eyes are to far apart, there is no nose, the mouth is crooked, in other words it is nothing more than light and shadow.

I can never see anything in ultrasounds anyway. People shove tham at me, cooing 'you can see his little legs!' and all I can see is an amorphous black and white blob. Could be a picture of bird droppings for all I can tell. Though I did hear about one ultrasound picture that apparently looked exactly like the baby's dead grandfather....the parents thought it meant he was watching over the baby, i just thought 'I can't see it.....'
