It’s Jackalope Hunting Season

June 31 (which was yesterday, or maybe today, or maybe neither) is the only day of the year on which it's legal to hunt jackalopes in the state of Wyoming. You can get your own Jackalope hunting license from the Douglas, Wyoming Chamber of Commerce.

On the subject of the Jackalope...

I was reading a crappy book inherited when one or another of my Grandparents died.

It is titled "Complete Unabridged Super Trivia Encyclopedia Volume II", By Fred L. Worth, published in 1981 by Warner Books.

It is by no means complete, and is flat out wrong on many points.

BUT, it has a "Jackolope" entry...

"Jackolope
Fictitious animal created in that it is a cross between a jackrabbit and an antelope. It is found in Douglas, Wyoming. The males have antlers. Jackolopes mate only during lightning flashes. They can imitate the human voice. To hunt them, A hunter's IQ must be between 50 and 72."

Fictitious? Since when?

So Alex, did you acquire that jackolop on your wall yourself? Is there something you've been keeping from us?
:cheese:

A few years ago my friends son accidentally flushed a baby jackalope down the toilet. Now there are rumors of a giant jackalope living in the San Diego sewer system.
