A new shock site called
Forsake Our Troops is doing the rounds. It purports to be the homepage of an organization
"dedicated to the notion that our nation's military is grossly overcompensated, at the expense of the American taxpayers." In actuality, it's just an attempt to be outrageous. Apparently it was created by a White Power activist called Michael Crook (according to the
True or Better blog). Crook seems to have a history of doing things like this. Last year he created a fake group called Citizens Against the Troops. Seems like a charming fellow. Of course, this character could insist that he sincerely believes everything he's saying. But I would contend that he only sincerely wants to be obnoxious. (via

claimed to find a soldier's digital camera at a football game and told the media that he would return it for a 'finder's fee' of $1000.

Upon further checking I found a M M Kane with the same phone number but different area code, 856, located at 727 EVERETT AVE OAKLYN NJ. I don't think it's a coincidence. I just figured that on his interview he talked about using his God given right to freedom of speech then I would use mine to give out as much info as I could. I hope this helps "Hitman". "There is a site out there, called forsakethetroops.net. Let me say this loud and clear: forsakethetroops.net does not belong to me (Michael Crook), or SMIS Hosting Services. Read on to find out who is responsible for this nonsense.
Before we get into that, however, yes, I did run forsakethetroops.INFO. That site was taken down in mid-May, and it has been sold. Yes, I did appear on Hannity and Colmes, representing forsakethetroops.INFO.
Towards the end of the site, a new website came up under the name of forsakethetroops.NET. The person running this site used the same template that I did, which is readily available in many hosting packages. From there, he used much my original content, which can be accomplished by cut and paste. This would explain why his site resembles the old Troops site.
This site is being presented as my work, and it has come to my attention that he signs e-mail as Michael Crook, but it is the work of someone who identifies themselves as "Brad Kramer". Complaints to myself, or my host, SMIS, will be deleted without being read.
He may be reached at either .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address) (the name of the "company" he supposedly owns) or .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address).
He is the one responsible for this disgusting site, and the filth that's on it, not me.
It has stolen the basic look of my Forsake The Troops domain, which has been sold. Add to that the picture of gay military porn on the website, and it equates to a disgusting website.
The false WHOIS data that he's registered can be addressed with a WHOIS complaint to ICANN. He has chosen to register it under my name to make it look as if it's my domain, but the reality is, he should be taking credit for his....uhm..."work".
The previous host was NDCHost, but today a technician confirmed that they "asked (that site) to be removed" from their servers". That's right...forsakethetroops.net got kicked off of NDCHost.
According to a traceroute, the site is hosted, as I type this, by http://www.secure.net. You may e-mail complaints about the .net site to .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address).
I was able to find out additional information. The current IP address is 204.200.195.162, which traces to a server called taylor821.securesites.net. It leads to secure.net (192.220.124.10, and 192.220.125.10 ar e the nameservers). Now that all traces to a company supposedly called MyNameservers, LLC. That appears to be a reseller for Verio. Nameservers allegedly has an e-mail address of .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address).
Now, Verio has declined to take any responsibility for this site. They have officially, by way of one of their phone representatives, thumbed their noses at ICANN and copyright regulations. Therefore, it may be reasonable to e-mail .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address). Or, you can try calling them at (800)551-1630."
"Finally, one could write the big boys. ARIN oversees all the IP allocations in the US. Since Verio is denying their duty, it may be reasonable to have action taken against Verio. Abuse complaints may be addressed to .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address). Or, you can call them at (703) 227-9840.
Some other interesting information came to light...but I will post that once I confirm the validity of it.

So, yes, I did start the Troops site as a .INFO, but that does not mean I should be blamed for his work, which is an obvious attempt to make it appear as if I'm still running the show-- I have no control over that site.

I believe that (and yes I realize I may be wrong) we as a nation are trying to prevent terrorist tactics such as September 11th from repeating themselves. I personally do not want to see/hear about anyone in the military being killed, there is always the chance that could be the person/people you care about out there next.
What I am saying is that freedom of speech is a freedom, and while Michael Cook, and the war may not be worth supporting, the troops that risk their lives regardless are. There are no choices for soldiers (in reality) in the military. They do not have the ability to say, I do not believe in this therefore I will just say I don't want to go.
If there people have issues concerning the war, there are other alternatives rather than bashing the military. How easy is it to say "Well I don't agree, and the military sucks, their just a bunch of idiots, etc." How much more difficult is it to actually send out letters to congressmen, etc., the people who have control of where our troops are sent, protesting the work the military is doing? Just my dollars worth. 😛
Now all of a sudden you want to end your affiliation with the web site. It doesn't matter if your with the site now or not. You still feel that way and you started that shit. Don't think that we are going to forget about you. Some of us will still try and find you. So don't think that you can go and try and back out of this now. A US soldier wouldn't back out of fight just because it was getting to tough or he just doesn't want to do it any more. If we start something we finish it. You think when the bullets start flying and your pinned down in the street or in an alley we can just say, okay I give up Mr. Bad guy stop shooting at me, I don't want to do this anymore. If you watch the Fox News interview (which is Conservative TV, I know), you can tell he does not feel what he says. He doesn't know how to answer simple questions. He berates the troops for their pay and benefits, but when the simple question of "Isn't your battle with the people who make the policies" is asked, he turns into a blubblering idiot.
I don't support the war in Iraq. I think it's been proven on a daily basis that we had no business going in there, but that's a different story. I support our troops whole heartedly. Anyone willing to risk their lives so that I may have mine is okay in my book. That goes for cops and firefighters too.
This idiot, however, has no moral objection to anything. He's just trying to get notoriety to sell his domain names on E-Bay (which E-Bay has rightly brought an end to).
LOVE to see him say that stuff to any soldiers and family's faces. But sadly it's because of those same soldiers he rants on , that he has a right to voice his childish veiws.
Michael Crook is a poor exscuse of a human being. That man has ruined his life. Maybe he is angry becasue he was rejected for military duty *shrug*. He needs to go spend a week with the men and women over there and see what they go thru.
The real heroes of America or any other nation are those that get up go to work, set a positive example for family, friends, and strangers, and give their hand to help other less fortunate. Helping someone does not mean giving them a free handout to make them dependent on you.
Iraq needs help to establish a democratic nation where none existed. As their citizens transition from tyranny to a new way of life they are at the greatest risk right now. Think of a child that has been abused but is rescued. Without help this same child will most likely grow up to abuse others following the pattern they learned.
