Interesting stuff Chuck— I had to keep taking double-takes just on his TSK TSKs:

“In the world everywhere we find clear signs of an order which can only spring from design, an order realized with the greatest wisdom, and in a universe which is indescrib- ably varied in content and in extent, infinite.” 2 (Immanuel Kant)

I don’t know about anyone else, but I sort of see the world as being rather chaotic.  I’m a bit amazed that this philosopher knew or what’s out in the universe since we’re only just beginning to play with probes just within our own solar system and the universe at best is being studied from telescopes with views already so old that what we see now has vastly changed by now.

Oh but TSK TSK….the telescopes are lying

Accip’s are full of worldly wisdom. . .

Actually, I’m just a loon.  You’re thinking of my stunt double who takes my place in here when things “heat up”.

Umm, at one point I said “1 + 1 + 1 doesn’t equal 3”, just to see if anyone was actually reading my stuff.

Apparently not.

Oh, I did notice it.  But then, I figured out years ago that 1 + 1 + 1 doesn’t have to equal three, so I didn’t really think much of it.

Bebe, we have always been enlightened by your posts because they are spiritual and beautifully human….

Love you too, Sweetie, but obviously, you haven’t checked out any of my jokes lately…..  smile

Hi, Fellow Cultists!

Uhh, for our next meeting, this Haloween, could someone bring a few bat-wings for the witch’s brew?  I am running short.  And for the spells to work, we need FRESH! eye of newt, not that pre-packaged stuff.  I need a volunteer to bring some, please?

We need some new chants, too, if anyone could rhyme up a few?  I think David would be of real value here.

Huli, could you arrive a bit early and help me with the torches?  Thanks, you were such a gracious person to help last year!

Oh, I almost forgot!  Acci, I have your silver crucifix, you left it here last year, I found it in the bottom of the cauldron, under the sacrificial lamb.  I have polished it up, it is as good as new and shines like the glint of evil in the Devil’s eyes!

And Mistress Bebe, I have had your kneeling-pillow re-stuffed and re-upholstered in the most beautiful deep violet, with silver and gold brocade.  I hope you are pleased, Lord Master and Mistress!

See you all at Dark-Thirty on Halloween!

I have the same thing to say here that I just posted in the Mars Face thread:

Man.  Go on vacation for a few days and miss all the fun!

Not that I could have added anything to it.  But I could have read and enjoyed in a more timely manner.

Any particular type of bat, Dan?

I’m sure I’ve got a few wings somewhere at the back of the cupboard…

As one of the newer Cultists here I would be happy to offer a chant we use frequently at the Temple of Tah. It goes:

Oh wah,
Tah goo,
Psi yam.

Repeat in a slow rhythm over an over. Slowly over time speed up the chant. You’ll be amazed what happens!

Edit: Oops! Almost missed the all-important capital C on our title.

Thanks so much!  No, it doesn’t matter, just an equal number of left wings and right wings, please.

[To the tune of When the Saints Go Marching In...]

We are visiting those islands,
Where Darwin’s puzzle was solved,
To rejoice in the knowledge,
That everything evolved!

Oh, when those finch, oh, when those finch,
Oh, when those finch-es diversify.
We’ll say it’s due to ev-o-lution,
And make those cre-a-tionists all cry!

And when that sun, and when that sun,
And when that sun began to glow.
We’ll claim was four billion years hence,
And that’s a very long time ago.

There’s no design, there’s no design,
There’s no design to all of this!
It’s just randomness and selection;
Yes, all of life’s just hit and miss!

Some may say the word of the bible
Is the only one we need.
But there’s so much more to learn,
And so many, many, ma-ny books to re-ad!

That do?

Excellent, Sir David, thank you.

Now, anyone here able to carry a tune?
