Wow, I leave you guys alone for a weekend and a perfectly normal thread turns into a huge debate. I should stop going on vacations, or something.

Doesn’t the spontaneousness intrigue you though?

See, that’s why you need the wireless implant in your brain.  That way you can always be online here!

Or could it be that this book has gone through the standard multiple revisions that any book being sold goes through?  Did he exaggerate how pro-Nazi the family was? Perhaps.  We’ll never really know, because it isn’t how pro-Nazi they were in actuality, it was how pro-Nazi he thought they were. 😕

I think that what we have here is a whole lot about nothing.  A guy told his story from his perspective.  Facts seem to back up most of what he says.  He put it in a book and some people objected to what he wrote.  Pretty much par for the course.  After all, what set of memoirs hasn’t raised the ire of at least a couple of people who said,“But that wasn’t how it happened at all!”?

I say let sleeping dogs lie. Else you might be the one said to have an agenda.

Dan, you are welcome to stay, I just don’t think that there is much more to be said on this particular issue.

And as I am sure a Mod will tell you, please don’t go back and retroactively remove your posts. 😕

It makes the thread really hard to read and understand…. :shut:

Thanks, PrimeDave, but really, there’s nothing more to say ....until the investigation team of PHD historians concludes their work, around 2015 or so.

As for the removal of earlier threads, I was ordered to do so until threat of lawsuit by some of the PHD suits on that very same team. So I had to do it. Either that, or hang.

Mail everything to me and I

Am I the only one who feels vaguely confused now?

Yes.

The rest of us are completely confused.  Since you’re only vaguely confused, would you mind explaining it to the rest of us? 😉

From what I’ve gotten, dan seems suspicious that this book is potentially a fictional fabrication and has been posting a good many anonymous tip-offs he’s gotten. Recently, he was apparently told to cease his research.
