A Fort Worth woman was charged with aggravated assault after she attacked her boyfriend for not doing the dishes.

blog post photoThe 20-year-old woman was arrested last week, according to the Star-Telegram, after she bit her boyfriend, broke a picture frame across his face and tried to slash him with a 2-foot sword during the dirty-dishes argument.

The man, 21, told police that the argument began when his girlfriend told him to leave the apartment, where they had lived together for four months, for not doing the dishes, and he refused.

A struggle ensued when she tried to physically remove him. Police were called after the attack and the woman who was not identified was arrested and charged. She was later released after posting $10,000 bail.

$10,000 buys a lot of dishwashers.

Jeez, that’s insane!  I actually heard about this on the radio this morning.  According to the DJs, “Police said the woman missed with the sword but scored with her teeth.”  I seem to remember them saying something about her going after a particular body part, but I could be mistaken.  Seems a bit excessive to me.  The fight was probably brewing for a while, and the dirty dishes were just the final straw.
