The dark knight was very awesome, even at the midnight showing.  I want to see it again.

I just got back.  It was just as good the second time.

I went and saw Wall-E and Kung Fu Panda.

Wall-E: Cute, but not *too* cute. Genuinely watchable, and the damn song gets stuck in your head. Teaches kids that being fat is not ok.

Kung Fu Panda: Very nicely done. Some very funny parts, ranging from sophisticated humor to sight gags to crotch hits. Action sequences are amazing - without need for real actors, wire-fu gets outrageous. Caught when they snuck in a Wilhelm Scream. Teaches kids that being fat is ok.

Good movies, both of them. I plan to see Dark Knight soonish.

I just got back.  It was just as good the second time.

Even my son stayed up until 3am watching it.  And before anyone goes off on me for letting my 7 year old watch it, don’t.  He likes those kind of movies and was ok.  We have had the discussion about how they are just actors with make up on and masks.  I wish someone would have had that discussion with me before I saw a Freddie movie.  Yikes.

Too bad about Heath Ledger, he was excellent as the joker.  My wife said to me, whoever is playing the joker was made for the part.
I was stunned, how could an adult not know who was playing the part, after all the news coverage about him?

I didn’t manage to see a damn thing over the weekend, and I’m rather annoyed at that.  😡

Not that I wanted to watch Batman on opening weekend.  The lines were horrible, I’ve heard.

Most likely, despite the fact I am almost 100% positive I told her.

X-Files was decent.  It was basically just a long episode, but a “regular” episode and not a mythology episode with all the convoluted alien stuff.  If you liked the show you’ll probably like the movie.

A couple minor spoilers follow.  They are coded to be white so you can’t see them.  Highlight if you want to read them but please do not quote them since the quotes are not on white and can be seen by anyone.

[color=white]As could be expected since the movie has to appeal to wide audience and has to have a nice mostly-wrapped up ending, the plot is more of an investigation by the FBI and does not really delve into anything paranormal or supernatural.  There is a psychic in the movie, but they offer an “explanation” for that.  It’s feasible and sensible within the movie that he really was psychic, but not necessarily.  Like most X-Files episodes ended.

And it was rather cool that I kept thinking of Elephants on Acid since Demikhov
