This is the second time I’ve run across this in the last couple days, so I think I’ll post it here. It is rather neat.
The Dark Knight is the new Batman movie coming out this summer. Someone has taken the trailer for it and done a split-screen comparison of it with the 1989 Batman movie. (Both have the Joker in them, which would be why this second Batman movie is being compared with the first one from the previous series.)
Both times I’ve seen this posted on a blog the person has stated that these are both the trailers from the respective movies. I don’t see this. First of all, the posters remarks about their video on YouTube says, “My edit of the TDK trailer with ‘89 Batman footage, split-screen for comparison.” It’s 1989 Batman footage, not a trailer.
Second of all, just watching the trailer and knowing the plot of the original, I don’t see that footage being much of a coherent collection to put out as a trailer. Even without the voice over to verify (the voice over in the video is from The Dark Knight trailer).
Anyway, this is a neat video even to just see the shot comparison between the two movies.
