A MUST SEE MOVIE

I think I’d rather watch Duck Soup again.

It’s more plausible.

And funnier. I mean really, the guy has *no* sense of comedic timing…

*whisperwhisper*

What? NOT a comedy? It’s supposed to be serious? Ok, I take it back, now it’s funny.

I’d love to see a movie where Groucho Marx is the head of an international conspiracy of world domination with Chico and Harpo as his incompetent second in commands.

Oh very yes. The thought makes my loins tingle with excitement.

Throw in the Stooges as commandos, perhaps?

If we’re going that far we’d need at least 4 songs, a pie fight and perhaps Laurel and Hardy.

Honestly, I think the Rosicrucians have the right idea.  They want to keep the world’s population down to a level that is Earth friendly, have world courts to settle disputes….  That is not the Bush agenda obviously.  Heavy population means more consumerism and money in the hands of those in power.  Don’t settle disputes in court.  Just crush the enemy.

secret society called the Rosicrucian Order

Didn’t these guys used to advertise in the back pages of magazines like Popular Science?  I didn’t think that qualified as a ‘secret’ society.

Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes. That way, when you criticize them, you’re a mile away and you have their shoes.

They’ve got a museum, too—at least they used to and I think they still do. It’s in San Jose, Calif. (I lived in San Jose for a while and always meant to go there because it’s devoted to Egyptian artifacts, but somehow or other I never made it.) So I wouldn’t call them precisely “secret”—heck, they probably have conventions and a newsletter and everything.

The posts that used to be here got split off and moved to here.  They were mostly off topic and went off onto discussions about a banned members beliefs, proofs (or lack thereof) and reasons for being banned.

Please keep any further discussion in this thread (or any thread, for that matter) on topic.  Thank you.

Since WayToGo/ABC311/Major Li insists on posting in this thread and being completely off topic I’m closing it.  If anyone has anything pertinent and on-topic to post in this thread please contact a Curator.  We’ll be happy to re-open it for actual, real, fact-based, on-topic conversation.

The other posts have been split off into their own thread and then merged with the re-opened WayToGo tangent thread.  It’s not too hard to find if you really want to.

Thank you.
