Go to this site:
http://www.yougov.com/users/registrationintro_ref.asp?refid=597240&jID=3&sID=1

I’ve read that this is a:

“simple no strings attached way of making money, honestly. Simply sign up for Yougov and just answer questions on behalf of YOUGOV, an official UK survey company and when you have answered enough questions, you will get a cheque through for

YouGov is actually a respected marketing agency. It cuts costs by being online instead of paying people to piss you off by phoning you or stopping you in the street.

As far as I’m aware it’s legit.

There are tons of sites like this, either related to surveys or browsing ads.  While I suppose there are some legit sites out there I have read tons of comments relating tales of unpaid work, unanswered emails, and companies closing up shop and opening a new site.  Participate if you want, but don’t be surprised if you never see any money from them.  And be extra specially fearful of any site that demands bank info from you.  You honestly never, ever want to give that info out to a company you have even the slightest reservations about.

YouGov is a PLC- it’s unable to shut up shop and move to another site. While there are a lot of dodgy sites out there I think this is as legit as it gets.

Sounds like he’s probably safe, then.  Still, he should investigate it a bit more before doing anything.  No offense to you, Renquist, but this isn’t the sort of thing you would necessarily trust one stranger’s opinion on.

I wasn’t advocating he trust my opinion. He DID ask if anyone knew anything about it, and I told what I knew. I didn’t try to coerce him into doing it.

I know, I didn’t mean you had.  I just wanted to remind them that trusting their first source isn’t really a good idea.
