I have been to Florida once, it was pretty wrecked and there was no gasoline anywhere.  Other than that it was great.  Loved the ocean.

Which hurricane?

There were so many that summer, I can’t remember.  2005.

Yeah, but when we do it we spell correctly and don’t have hotdog eating contests 😜

Those’ll be the first two things to go in respective order.

ORLY?

Yeah, but that’s England - they’re awfully uncivilised down there… 😉

If we are constantly be accused of being dumb we might as well play the part, eh? *starts to wonder who really has the superiority problem*

I’ve wondered that myself a few times.  I think it’s those snooty Canadians subverting us with their SCTV reruns.

Great posting, ers!

Michael Savage’s (not his real name, duh) anyway his career started here in San Francisco, and originally he was liberal, but since he is primarily a showman, his business sense pushed him into the consdrvative arena.

He is all talk, I agree he is a jerk, but at least he lets the other point of view express itself, unlike so many from either point of view.

Oh, I think it would be great if we re-joined the UK, except for that part of never letting the Queen see your behind.  Kind of silliness, don’t you think?  Of course, we worship insipid movie stars, so I guess we’re pretty silly in our own way, too.

Dan, who for some reason admires Tony Blair, perhaps it is the sincerity of his smile, whether it’s real or not

Other countries have & worship their own movie stars & famous people (uh, like the ROYALS)...so let’s not go saying who is more obsessed.  K?

I would not want to rejoin the UK.  We already have enough pink british people in their speedos hanging out on the beaches in the summer…if we were all the same country, I bet it would be even more.  It’s really not pretty.  All blistered & pink…ick.

I don’t even know why we would discuss America joining the UK.

Although, I guess if they wanted to be one of our states that’d be okay. After all England is smaller than Texas and that’s just one of our 50.
