Ok, so I just started watching episodes of the Twilight Zone online.
I’ve never really watched any before.

I watched one called Little Girl Lost earlier that was pretty good (and, coincidentally, the Simpsons Treehouse of Horror VI was on later where one of the short stories is based on that episode), but I don’t know what any of the other episodes are like and, frankly, I’m a bit lost.

Can anyone recommend some good episodes to me?

Well, most of the old ones are really good, so you really can’t go wrong just randomly picking.

I don’t know the names of all the episodes, but the one about the woman getting plastic surgery to fix her ugliness was pretty good.

Um, unfortunately I know very few of the names.  And basically, just watch them all.  Some of the episodes are very different from each other, and one even has a laugh-track (the one with Carol Burnett).  Some are hard SF and some are fantasy, while others are more horror.  They’re different enough that what one person loves the other might not even understand.  Nothing in the Dark with a very young Robert Redford is one of my favorites.

The problem is most of them have been ripped off in one form or another now, so it’s hard to be surprised by the twists these days.  But they’re still very worth watching as the originators of many of these themes.

And you being you, you’ll love Living Doll .  Which was also in Treehouse of Horrrors.

It’s hard to go wrong with TZ, though.  Just remember Night Gallery is a completely different show, and very inferior (with one or two exceptions).

Ooh, Where Is Everybody? is one of the first I ever saw, and it was freaky.

I could go on like this all day.

Edit

The Monsters Are Due on Maple Street is a classic example of its time.

The one Carlotta mentioned is The Eye of the Beholder, which is one of the most famous episodes.

The titles are somewhat mixed up and confusing for a newbie.

And shouldn’t this be in Books, Movies, and TV Shows?

I s’pose so.
I figured since it was asking for advice, that here might be better.
But then, I wasn’t paying much attention (and sort of forgot that bit of the forum).
