Well, if we did have a Nuclear Armageddon, and it is certainly possilbe, I kind of think, given the choice, I would rather not be one of the survivors, even if it does mean missing Dearest Hulitoon’s Birthday, her 30th as I calculate it.

Someone once calculated that, for the entire population of the World to enjoy the standard of living of the average US citizen, and for that standard to be permanently sustainable, that is, not rape the Earth to achieve it, the maximum population would have to be about 500 Million.  So two billion survivors is a lot, I guess.

I wonder who they would be?  Eskimos, Aborgines, feudal African tribes?  It would have to be people that are adept at supplying all their own needs, something no one in the civilized areas is capable of, in that we are all so inter-dependent on one another, even for such basics as water.

I have read that, here in the very dry Western areas of the US, more people have been killed over water than gold, and given some sort of nuclear holocost, I think that would be the situation eveywhere.

Well, for those who truly believe the prediction, my advice is go ahead and buy that Porshche, run up the credit cards, and quit worrying about your cholesterol!

All quiet on the Western (Australian) front, too.

Nope, no nukes on the horizon, unless…what’s that sound!  What’s that in the air!  It’s started! It’s started!  AHHHHH!

Or it might be people who are sophisticated enough to be able to use advanced technology to survive.  I’d take a state-of-the-art bomb shelter instead of a grass hut any day that a direct nuclear strike is predicted.

It’s probably carrying The Bomb. . .

Their web server must have been wiped out in the initial strike.

Well, I think that the 12th is already over for places like New Zealand.
