I wish they gave more information. It just doesn’t make sense. How did nine people end up injured?
The best scenario I could think of is two people argue, it gets physical, and then family members start jumping in to help, resulting in a brawl, but that’s still not too logical.

why were they fighting over a pigeon? did both families think it was their, or were they accussing each other of owning it?

Do not meddle in the affairs of dragons, for you are crunchy, and taste very good with ketchup.

Do not enter a battle of wits unarmed.

The pigeon instigated the entire event, I assure you.  It is part of their conspiracy.

I will be willing to go out on a limb here (with the pigeons) and surmise that alcohol was involved in this incident.

Either that, or it was one good-looking pigeon, you know?

I agree, Dan Jr, and I don’t think it was the pigeon imbibing, either.  But you just don’t know how devious these critters are.  I know, cuz, well, I’m the stork.

Yes JoeDaJuggler, I thought these two threads were somehow connected…......

I remember in highschool (boarding) that a group of boys had a pigeon coop at the top of one of the yard buildings.  They were VERY possessive of each of the birds and easily identified each as well when the birds flew off and then returned home again.

So, I understand how a heated dispute could erupt with the boys the youngsters, and also boys the oldsters.

Here’s what my brain just did with that—
“pigeon coop”——>
                “pigeon coup”

Oh, wasn’t that in Chaucer’s “Parliament of Fools”?
