As I said, I’ve never heard of a PF lens, but that doesn’t mean much.  Any infrared capable camera can do this.

Dunno if this applies, but if you look at the equip list on the first one it says:
Equipment:
- A mannequin dressed in thin, black cloth.
- A piece of printed card.
- A Sony camcorder ‘TR250PK’.
- A KAYA 37mm PF4.

Yeah, I saw the PF later.  There seem to be lots of places that are selling them now.  They’re just a filter that only allows IR through, but they’re really expensive.

I’m actually suprised snopes hasn’t picked it up yet, since this appears to be around for a little while already

it was several years ago that an off the shelf Sony cam was taken off the market as this feature was built in…..it was quite a story when it happened..the cams were popping up on e-bay and the like for outrageous sums of money.

had’nt heard about it recently but yes, it is real, it does work and yes, there are a lot of pervs out there.

and it seems rather sexist to aim the warnings only at females, we males have genitalia as well…..i know this is probably a fairly naieve (sp? sorry used fast reply so no spell check) viewpoint but hey, you wanted equality and I honor that request smile

I don’t get how this could be legal…if it’s real....(which you know I am still on the fence about.)

Infrared cameras have been around for years Maegan.  There’s nothing illegal about owning one.  The question is, is it illegal to use it for this purpose?  That one will have to be argued in court.

just won $25 (American) from a co-worker who insisted this was impossible…surprising because he is pretty knowledgeable person, technical as well.

We were arguing about it and I finally told him, either make it worth my while to continue this discussion or shut up….so we bet $25….I provided him with proof, he provided me with $25 smile

not exactly the million that Randi offers but then again, not the same category….and i am $25 richer smile
