NEW YORK (AP)—Years after she first emerged from the Batcave, Batwoman is coming out of the closet.

DC Comics is resurrecting the classic comic book character as a lesbian, unveiling the new Batwoman in July as part of an ongoing weekly series that began this year. The 5-foot-10 superhero comes with flowing red hair, knee-high red boots with spiked heels, and a form-fitting black outfit.

Smerk the cutest dragon
Lived by the sea
And frolicked in the autumn mist
In Western Australi

Little Accipiter loved that girl enough
He told her jokes and crazy facts
And other forum stuff

Smerk the cutest dragon:
Traveled cross the sea,
To hunt her prey in foriegn lands,
And snuggle with Acci!

Smerk the cutest dragon
Is getting married now they say
Though little Accipiter
Has yet to name the day.

Seeing as bats are rodents I thought it would have been prudent to keep Batwoman away from pussys…

:shut:

Crap, I missed the line again didn’t I?

“Wouldn’t ugly people as heroes be more groundbreaking?” asked one poster. “You know, 200-pound woman, man with horseshoe hair loss pattern, people with cold sores, etc.?”

I gotta agree with this guy if diversity really is their objective as they say in the article.  I don’t know much about the age of those reading the comics, but I suspect they’re really trying to attract the older nerdy teenage boys who spend hours googling to try and find a parody comic of Betty and Veronica “doing it”.

Seeing as bats are rodents

Rodents? Certainly not. They are in their own Order, Chiroptera

Betty and Veronica ‘doing it’?

What is ‘it’?  Bowling?  What about Reggie and Archie?  Were B and V bowling without them?

[Oh, Dan, knock it off, you know what she meant!]

Dan, imagining Betty and Veronica setting them pins up and knocking them right down, over and over

Batwoman was apparently killed off, though.  The new incarnation is a different woman, but her alter-ego still has the same name as the original.
