I’ve rediscovered an old childhood favourite of mine. A TV series from the early 1960s called Space Patrol.

In the US it was called Planet Patrol. I think this was to avoid confusion with a different TV series made in the 1950s that was also called Space Patrol.

I also discovered the complete series of 39 episodes costs over $300 on Amazon so I think I’ll stick to watching it on Youtube.

Watching a few episodes brings back memories. It does seem ahead of it’s time for the early 1960s.

I don’t remember this show. I watched about half the first episode. It’s a little slow moving, but interesting.

I do have to admit the real appeal for me is that it was a part of my childhood. Plus it is a bit quirky.

Re-watched this show… Surelyi, it can’t be compared to the modern hi-tech ones, but still it’s a pretty decent show for that time.
