Um…Roos and Wallabies aren’t native to Texas.

They’re not native to Blighty either but we’ve got hundreds of the buggers running wild in the Midlands.

Besides Texas is a lot like the Australian Out back in many ways. Dry, Hot, not much vegetation.

We had a small population once, but the wild camels ate them all one winter.

It looks like a shaved kangaroo to me.

http://user.tninet.se/~kmr888m/fotogalleri1.htm   Mexican hairless dogs

http://www.centralpets.com/photos/mammals/cats/photo_cat538.html   Hairless cats

http://www.northrup.org/photos/kangaroo/kangaroo-laying8.htm Kangaroos

It seems most likely that this is a Mexican hairless or a miniature grayhound.  However, I’ve also included pictures of hairless cats as well.  Kangaroos are not agressive carnivores

Yes, thanks for that Huli, I know they are not carnivorous, 😜

but the picture on the 1st page isn’t a chinese crested dog, it looks almost exactly like a small kangeroo or wallaby.

Mort, the picture I posted isn’t a crested pup, but a hairless-mexican.  The second in the pic is a miniature greyhound…both of these look a lot like the first photo…well the geyhound more so though.  These dogs are routinely used in racing too and become aggressive because of the trained behavior to chase a ‘rabbit’ (sometimes these are living rabbits tethered to a rotating pole that scream in genuine terror as the pole sweeps around the race arena).  People adopt those that are no longer racable hounds after about 2 years with the understanding that they may not exactly be child-friendly anymore.  Often they are simply put to death after those 2-3 years of serving as a racing hound and huge piles of them burned or buried.

There has been, off and on, an enormous outcry from people because of the treatment, but I haven’t heard much for years now.

However, this is why I lean toward one of these unfortunates.

This one has a video with it.  (you have to wait for a commercial before the newscast comes on)  The reporters do say both of these had 4 large fangs each.

So what exactly is a chucacabra supposed to be, if it’s a chuahuahua with mange? lol

Just curious.
