I’ve noticed that all Disney movies have absent parents.  Children/characters either have no parents, or only a single parent is shown.  The only ones I can think of right off hand where this isn’t the case…is Lady & the Tramp.  She had Jim Dear & Darling…And later she & Tramp were both parents.  ...And 101 Dalmations.  Pongo & Purdita & their owners were both present to raise “children”.

Some stories explain the absenteeism, others don’t.  I always thought it was weird.

I prefer all older Disney films to the new ones.  I liked the color & the stories better.  Also, most of it wasn’t dependant on slap-stick humor or even “adult” humor.  It was genuinely funny or sweet in a fun way.  Some of the themes were still dark (The woodsman in Snow White preparing to kill Snow White for example, or Malificent from Sleeping Beauty putting a curse on an infant) but I think appropriately protrayed for children.  When I was a little older, I was allowed to read the “original” tales & still enjoyed both versions.

Of the movies above, I only have Snow White…so I couldn’t really compare.  The others my mother has on tape, but I am not really that interested in figuring out if it’s true.  So what if is?

More fun with online translators.  It DOES get some meaning across.

I don’t see what the big deal is I though everyone knew this.  It is pretty obvious when watching these movies.  They are childrens movies.  They are not meant to be disected and analyzed, they are to meant to get laughs from children and maybe not bore adults out of their minds.

...Well, lots of non-animated movies do the same thing.  The set from My Fair Lady was used in Beneath the Planet of the apes.

Lots of TV shows/Movies use the same sets & extras over & over again to save from doing it from scratch every time.
