It does, and that is because it stems from the same kind of mental affliction.

You will note that these kind of texts usually include a lot of unintelligable insinuation: these writers are clearly trying to put an argument forward, but to a normal mind like ours their argument is absent of content: there are no real arguments, only what seem to be hidden insinuations and a series of seemingly unrelated statements: quite often (and in LostProphet’s posts under discussion as well), as a reader you have no idea how one statement connects to the next, and what they are really trying to say and argue.

This is all very symptomatic of a warped, disturbed sense of reality: of seeing “self-evident” links between things were other, mentally healthy people see none. Of linking together decidedly unrelated things, insisting they have a clear, self-evident meaning. This is typical of psychosis.

Note how in one of the last posts before this one, the writer “Biblethumper 66666” (who is probably just an alter-ego of LostProphet in reality) even seems to loose sense of his/her own identity completely: his/her narrative uncanningly transforms and blurs into that of the purported Illuminati operative. (s)He starts to write in the person of the other, losing his own identity alltogether in this process. You have to read it twice before you note that the second part are apparently “quotes” from “e-mails”.

This is not due to a lack of writing skills: it is because in these kind of mental afflictions, these issues of your own and external (someone other’s) identities start to blur and mix. For example, someone with this problem and obsessed with the Bible at one point can start to think he is Jesus. Chosing a nickname with “Prophet” in it is also a sign.

As I read rambling post like these by LostProphet and many other conspiracy thinkers, I see the (not so) telltale signs of schizophrenia in it. It makes me very sad. Schizophrenia is a horrible affliction to live with, expecially if it means that in your mind the whole world becomes one big interconnected conspiracy to you.

Well, I wouldn’t go making diagnoses without a full medical background as a trained psychologist, but yes, we’ve seen this before.

The one thing I’ve noted in a lot of conspiracy theorists is Apophenia - seeing connections where no connections exist. To them, the connections are clear and self-evident, and they can’t understand why some people don’t see them. It’s why they tend to talk down to other folks like they’re ignorant children - how could you miss something so blatant if you weren’t either stupid or misled?

The trick is, this same sense of false connections apparently spills over into their language centers. They begin communicating in seemingly random, disjointed phrases, to the point of incomprehensability. To them, it is as self-evident as saying ‘the sky is blue’.

It should be noted that Apophenia is commonly found in those suffering from Schizophrenia, and vice versa.

And they lack the use of . and , etc.
Caps and ! however are no trouble at all for them.
