Saw this on XKCD a bit ago. Useful chart of exactly what various levels of radiation are like, and how much of a hazard they are.

http://xkcd.com/radiation/

I’m pleased he listed the amount of radiation caused by cellphones (none whatsoever), as well as that caused by bananas (0.1uSv). The next time someone rants about cellphone radiation, I will calmly explain to them that *bananas* produce more radiation.
I may leave off the fact that you’d have to eat a billion bananas* to have any risk whatsoever, or that their own bones are producing four thousand times as much radiation…

* TEN billion for immediate hazard (1Sv), but if you’re eating that many bananas, you have bigger problems to worry about.

Using a cell phone (0 uSv)-a cell phone’s transmitter does not produce ionizing radiation* and does not cause cancer.

* Unless it’s a bananaphone.

LOL

Bananaman is screwed, then.

Smerk the cutest dragon
Lived by the sea
And frolicked in the autumn mist
In Western Australi

Little Accipiter loved that girl enough
He told her jokes and crazy facts
And other forum stuff

Smerk the cutest dragon:
Traveled cross the sea,
To hunt her prey in foriegn lands,
And snuggle with Acci!

Smerk the cutest dragon
Is getting married now they say
Though little Accipiter
Has yet to name the day.

Bananaman and Danger Mouse are (British) 80’s classics.

Oh yeah, something about radiation to keep it on topic. It’s bad m’kay.
