I wonder why I’m so often the odd man out in these things?

Probably just because you’re so odd in general.

I’ve not read any of the books or seen any of the television shows, though I don’t really have any particular disinclination towards either.  I just haven’t gotten around to trying the books, and have no access to the shows at the moment.  I’ve heard a fair amount of people fussing, though, about how much nekkidness there is in the shows; I halfway wonder if many of the complaints about that are actually a subtle marketing ploy by the production company itself.  “Oh dear, there are so many young gorgeous unclothed girls running around in this show!  The scandal of it all!”

There was sex in the book, though often of the ‘ewwww’ kind, but I suppose any excuse for nudity is a good one.
