Interesting concept.  An hour long music video sans dialogue.  OF course I am talking about Daft Punk’s Interstella 5555. :cheese:

Actually, I just found that last night and downloaded the ‘movie’ today.  Not bad.  It reminds me of the kind of stuff Jean Michael Jarre was doing back in the eighties. (And Enigma did on several albums.) Basically one long song/performance, all linked together around a common theme.  The link above is the first part of the vid, you’ll have to find the rest yourselves. 😉

ETA: I suppose that this should probably be in the books/movies thread.  If one of you magic mods could please move it for me? :cheese:

Oh yes!  I do love Leiji Matsumoto’s character designs and storytelling.  Daft Punk’s music is wonderful, but I find their “robots from the future” gimmick to be a little… gimmicky?  Anyone who grew up watching Star Blazers in the US (Yamato in Japan) will, of course, remember Matsumoto’s character designs.  I’m a huge Galaxy Express 999 and Harlock fan myself.  My favorite Matsumoto anime has to be Gun Frontier, though.  Thanks for reminding me of this immensely entertaining combination of two things I enjoy, but haven’t enjoyed together in a few years!
