The whole concept is bad..  I mean, its purely using an existing property to make money and renew copyright. The CGI is apalling, with the eyes on the character possibly the most creepy things ever (not counting the Smurfs movie). However, this bit takes the cake - some genius at Marketing is no doubt snickering like a madman, having created a poster worthy of 4Chan…

To paraphrase the popular term: Once you read the tagline, you’ll **** bricks.

I think I vomited a bit.  Tag lines based on puns should be banned.

Oh, it gets *worse* if you think about it a little, especially given the pose they’re in, and the big goofy grins..

And frolicked in the autumn mist

Little Accipiter loved that girl enough
He told her jokes and crazy facts
And other forum stuff

Traveled cross the sea,
To hunt her prey in foriegn lands,
And snuggle with Acci!

Smerk the cutest dragon
Is getting married now they say
Though little Accipiter
Has yet to name the day.

There’s supposed to be a pun in that somewhere?

Well, the *intended* pun is ‘good things come in pairs’, but when you have Yogi behind BooBoo like that, with that expression, it takes on a rather different meaning..

I thought the saying was “good things come in threes”.

When the good folks at Hanna Barbera were first deciding on the cartoon characters they were going to have in their universe they were going to have two Yogi Bears.

This made me weep a little. And it looks like it further validates my boyfriend’s theory that every movie with CGI animals requires a stupid dancing scene.

At least the next Narnia movie is coming out that same month. >_<
