So, we’ve endured 5+ years of sociopath David (not a doctor or a scientist but does have a business diploma from Pace University) Schmidt followed by a host of updated copycats like 8ight holographic chips (Warren Hanchey - Ex-LifeWave management) and CieAura holographic chips (Ken Rasner - Ex-LifeWave management) all claiming to bring us the miraculous!

Well, now we have Amega Global with one of the funniest SCAMS of all.

http://www.eamega.com/about-us-usa.html

The Amega AMWand!

http://www.amwand.org/

Have they really given the world the very first Zero Point Energy device?

You’re going to love the videos!

Here are a few videos to get you going.

The DEMO with “Nanna”:

The Australian distributor, Kathy Coles, and her husband’s grandmother demonstrate why we should take their word about this product.

The wand even makes cigarettes taste better:

How about bringing a dog back from the brink of death?

I love how they bandy about the term ‘Zero Point Energy’ as if it’s something you can extract. Zero Point Energy is NOT energy. It’s the opposite. It is a description of a system (usually quantum) that is at its *lowest* energy potential. A theoretical total rest-state, devoid of any energy, motion, or potential. If anything, it would *absorb* energy greedily, like a sponge. To put it better, the Energy of the system is at a Zero Point, a totally null state.

Next will they have a car that uses the power from an Empty Gas Tank?

4. Personal testamonials are not proof.

Well, not quite.  Zero point energy is the lowest amount of energy that a system can be at and still be that system.  Sort of the baseline amount of the sum of all energy in a system when it is at absolute zero.  If you were to take a carbon atom and put it down to absolute zero, there would still be some tiny little bit of energy left in the atom.  That energy is what is holding the atom together as an atom.

The problem with harnessing this energy is that if you take it away, then the carbon atom will stop being a carbon atom and will change to something else.  Whereupon it is no longer going to be zero point energy.

A lot of the fuss over zero point energy is due to misunderstanding of the theoretical model that physicists used to calculate it.  They worked out that there is basically infinite energy in the vacuum energy (an energy sort of synonymous to zero point energy). . .if the universe is a complete vacuum with no matter in it.  Which, as you might have noticed, is not the case.

No problem.

The boys at Amega have stated they have done it with their Wand, so they have, right?

More importantly, Kathy and her nanna in Australia “know” it works, so that’s all that really matters.

If it works…it works.

Life is simple!

Didn’t take long before the Kirlian photos came along!!!

http://www.amegaglobalhealth.com/amega-kirlian-photos

There’s Kathy Coles and nanna again!

Now we know it MUST be genuine.

According to Cosmo he wants to ”...provide Top Notch Info about Amega and it’s energy products. Also, I’d Love you to Join My Team of “WANDERS” so we can Shoot Zero Point Energy all over the Planet Together!”

Can it get any funnier?

I wonder what kind of person decides to get involved with the Amega AMWand scam?

The Australian lady with her nanna in the YouTube videos gives us a clue.

Extra bummer.

Is the inventor of the miracle supplement going to jail?

http://hubpages.com/hub/Jim-Humble-Is-Going-To-Jail

“Any time the attack comes if my approval is on any sales site that can be used to put me in jail.

This is true in most countries as well as the united states, especially in Europe.

Please comply with this. It is important. This must be done immediately.

Taking my name off of your site will also keep you out of jail.”

Sorry Kathy, looks like you might need to update your recommended links page!

I like this part:
(Emphasis mine)

The wand is no more than a pen to look at, but it apparently will last for ever without any need for external power such as batteries. The pendant is similar. It is a channel for this zero point energy, probably just the same as any spiritual healer is, such as the well known Reiki healing. However it seems to be perhaps more powerful than most healers, based purely on what we see happening.

Wow. blank stare  When it is stronger than reiki, it MUST be strong! surprised  rolleyes

AND:

Are any folks disappointed? Well some return their wands, claiming they don’t work. But there seem to be some issues to take into account. One is technique, two is the tenacity of the injury, and then the willingness to see this through. Some folks indeed have what seem like miraculous pain removal in minutes, whereas others even after ten minutes claim only minor improvement.

this is pretty much the DEFINITION of placebo… shut eye

Probably they need many hours, but we have not yet proved that for ourselves. Right now we suspect even the most tenacious of pain just needs more time.

And LOTS more MONEY I am sure… mad  downer

This lady, for one, is not too impressed with the wand.

http://www.mysinglemomlife.com/blog/archives/2010/06/i_wanted_to_wri.php

“I have used the Amega Amwand every single day, five times per day for 30 minutes each session as I was told to do.

I even “wanded” my water with it as I was told to do.

I am here to tell you that the Amega Amwand did absolutely nothing at all for me.

It did not relieve any aches, pains, or other discomforts, it has not helped reduce my blood pressure, and I saw no noticeable improvement in my hair, nails, or face.

It has not helped me to look or feel younger.

It has not helped or strengthened my immunity, as a matter of fact, I’ve been really sick several times during the last 2 months, and it did not help me get better faster, or at all.

It did not do a single thing that it claims it can do.

The Amega Amwand is a total scam and I feel the need to tell people the truth before they fall for this scam and waste hundreds of dollars on it.”

I guess she wants her money back!

Check out Bob Hughes giving us the hard sell on Amega.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=98VVB_2Pvv8&feature=player_embedded#!

BTW. It’s not possible to make negative comments about Bob and his claims.

He even spreads the word online in an Ezine article.

http://ezinearticles.com/?Why-Allopathic-Medicine-Practitioners-Love-the-Amega-Amwand&id=3844434

Which begs the question as to why anyone would turn to Ezine for ANY credible information in the first place?

Bob describes himself as “...a Christian and a family man first of all.”

I guess he’s OK with SCAMMING people because the Ten Commandments doesn’t include “Thou Shalt Not SCAM”!

Still annoyed at folks thinking ZPE is extractable energy. I mean, it doesn’t mean there isn’t any energy there to be had, but it’s of a more familiar form: charge, temperature, etc. It’s like.. a freezing point for things that aren’t liquid. It’s a measurement, not a form of energy.

Not that the scamsters care a bit, mind you. They’ll put as many buzzwords in their crap as they can get away with. I should find a way to power a car on pure buzzwords..

YES it can get funnier:

http://life-enthusiast.com/usa/life-regular-p-770.html

“The Life Pen connect any organism to the blueprint, the source of life, and to the potential of rebalancing itself. The Life Pen can be used in a a wide range of applications: shift in emotional state, removing blocked energy flow, transforming food and drinks.”

“The Regular Pen is a hollow piece of hard wood containing a naturally grown quartz crystal and filled with quartz sand.”

Only $50!

What do you do if your Amwand doesn’t work?

According to this guy, you send it to him so that he can “infuse” it with all the magical stuff you need!

Priceless!

Nice post from a guy in the UK.
Kudos.

http://scepticalletterwriter.blogspot.com/2010/08/amega-globals-exciting-new-technology.html

“I write to complain about an advert appearing in “Nexus” magazine (August-September 2010, Vol 17 No 5, p76).

The advert, for Amega Global, promotes an “exciting new technology”.

I suspect that the advert may be in breach of seven sections of the British Code of Advertising, Sales Promotion and Direct Marketing (CAP) code. I can provide an original copy of the advert by post, if required.”

Way to go!

About ten years ago, before I swore off talking to my dad at all, he tried to convince me that the FBI was trying to find him because he had “thought-up” how to build such a device.  Now my dad is a barely-literate truck driver who lives in some small rural town in southeast Missouri—I had a hard time thinking he could just “think up” how to build something that has eluded thousands of actual scientists for decades, if not centuries.

Of course, the guy also claimed to be psychic and capable of astral projection, so I guess he can just break the laws of thermodynamics at will!

Well, it’s been a while but I guess we can put an end to this particular SCAM.

After 19 months the Amega guys pulled the plug.

“...Amega Worldwide has notified a select group of distributors by conference call that the United States division of Amega Global, LLC will be closing its operation as of August 31st, 2011. The reason given was that the parent company, based in Singapore, ordered the closure due to “insolvency”. Such a term is usually applied to a company that can no longer meet its financial obligations to its vendors and creditors.”

http://www.insidenm.com/alerts/alert-191-8302011/

Oh well, on to new scams eh?

Sam Adams jumped ship 6 weeks before the end along with a few other folks.

You can still buy the Amwand from folks who got caught out by the collapse. They just want to recoup something for their fancy metal pen.

Sam was supposed to start a new company, (scam),  Sevenpoint2 but his name only appears in the early web page.

http://www.businessforhome.org/2011/08/jason-boreyko-launches-seven-point-2/

Lately he seems to be conspicuous by his absence!

http://www.sevenpoint2.com/

BTW The out of the ashes Amega company is now called Amwell Technologies.  Enjoy their “products”. They really work, right?
