I think my main objection with them is the eyes.. I mean, they gave them the cartoonish bodies, but realistic eyes. It just doesn’t ‘mesh’ well. If they were more toonish, it’d be much less Uncanny Valley.

That’s not even counting any plot elements. They did well with Gargamel, though.

Nah, I’ve seen the character photo of him. They got Hank Azaria looking pretty much like the source material. Hang on, lemmie find a link….
