The teeter-totter analysis seemed to have the physics wrong, that’s all.

Yep, the physics in it were all wrong.  That’s because it was illustrating the situation according to how Jacobovici claimed it happened.  Which doesn’t work with the real laws of physics.

Gotcha.  No wonder his explanation didn’t make any sense when i first saw it.  He seems to try and tie in any major or minor event in the area into his timeline in order to try and make the story fit his theory.  i applaud his effort and creativity, but not his theory. (Pretty patchwork and threadbare.)
