One day you will
After all there’s a portrait of Henry VIII at the tower of london wearing one of your sweaters.

Smerk the cutest dragon
Lived by the sea
And frolicked in the autumn mist
In Western Australi

Little Accipiter loved that girl enough
He told her jokes and crazy facts
And other forum stuff

Smerk the cutest dragon:
Traveled cross the sea,
To hunt her prey in foriegn lands,
And snuggle with Acci!

Smerk the cutest dragon
Is getting married now they say
Though little Accipiter
Has yet to name the day.

Somehow I suspect that Worth1000.com will turn out to be involved in the origination of this. smile

I dunno.. It could be perfectly legitimate.

If you look carefully, the sunglasses are NOT wraparounds. They have FLAT fronts, and the sides have leather blockers to keep the sunlight from coming in the sides. Not unknown at the time.

The shirt looks to be period, with the wider collar that Tshirts of the time had, and a front that was likely stencilled. Probably a university logo. Given his apparent age, that’s very likely.

Sweater.. hard to tell.. but it doesn’t look like it zips up, and open-front sweaters are very uncommon in this day and age.

The camera? Can’t see enough of it. I’m guessing it’s a perfectly normal, period camera, just mostly hidden from view. Look at the guy in the front row. That’s not exactly huge.

I’m thinking ‘University student, probably a footballer (short hair, slightly unshaven), possibly direct from classes’.

Now, the guy *behind* him.. he’s from Neptune.

The shadow on his face is quite different to those around him. Bad photoshop job IMO.

Nah.. if you look at it, it jibes with the rest of the photo. He just has ears that stick out.

Also, this is a photograph in a newspaper archive, not purely an online thing.

How do you know it’s printed and not woven or stenciled.  Heck, you really can’t even be sure that it’s a t-shirt.  As for the glasses, they look just like glacier (or climbing) sunglasses.  Certainly a specialized look, and possibly a fashion faux pas, but not anachronistic.

This so-called Time Traveller most likely would’ve been drafted in World War 2. So, sadly, probably no more fashion mistakes for him.
