Kam Ma is either very brave or out of his mind.

We’re opting for the latter.

The 32-year-old man from Sunderland has broken his own world record of having being pierced 600 times, in a non-stop piercing session, without anaesthetic.

The new record is 1,015 metal rings “skewered through his body” says the Times.

I saw this in the British Metro this morning, but it’s not widely covered in the media (I wonder why?)

I saw a picture the other day (sorry, can’t link to it) of a woman who apparently has been pierced over 2000 times and is the world record holder for most piercings.  Her face (which was all that was shown) was covered in rings and barbells…It’s a wonder that she would be able to eat and breath normally.

Elaine’s great. She’s from here, and every now and again you’ll see her wandering about.
You wouldn’t believe the looks she gets from tourists (well, actually you would).
She’s a nice lady, too.

If you didn’t or don’t look, she would be disappointed…..she went to a lot of expense, pain and effort to be noticed.

Oh no, I meant the facial expressions on the tourists. We see her around quite a bit, so we’re used to her, and don’t look quite so… incredibly shocked.
