Predictions from 1900—Ladies Home Journal

This list seems a hoax to me. A few of them read like a 21st century person trying to write like an early 20th century person.  Especially this one:

He will live fifty years instead of thirty-five as at present.

Thirty-five seems like extreme low-balling.

“Go ahead, threaten me like you have the American people for so long! You’re part of a dying breed, like people who can name all fifty states! The truth hurts, doesn’t it? Oh sure, maybe not as much as landing on a bicycle with the seat missing, but it hurts!”

35 seems low to me too but this could be the average age. Don’t forget things were very different in 1900.
