February 16, 2001 Have you heard of the moon landing hoax? Do you beleive it was just a hoax?

I have heard of the moon landing hoax theory. Personally, I don't believe it was a hoax, but I find the debate about it interesting. I'll probably include something about the debate on this site eventually.

February 15, 2001 "Some of you may not be parents, but you could have nieces or nephews this will pertain to. As I read the following, my heart sank.
I urge each and every one of you to pass this on to as many people as you can. I cannot stress how important this is! This is VERY disturbing news!
In addition to the following, which is a true story, I will also add that my own sons were playing in the Ball Pit at Discovery Zone one day. One son lost his watch, which his grandparents had given to him and was very upset. We dug and dug in those balls trying to find the watch. Instead, we found vomit, food, poop and other stuff I do not want to discuss. I went to the manager and raised ten kinds of hell. Come to find out the Ball Pit is only cleaned out once a month. (I have my doubts if it is even that often.) My kids will never play in another one. Now, read this...
Hi My name is Lauren Archer. My son Kevin and I lived in Sugarland,TX. On October 2, 1994 I took my only son to McDonald's for his 3rd birthday. After he finished lunch, I allowed him to play in the ball pit. When he started whining later on, I asked him what was wrong. He pointed to the back of his pull-up and simply said "Mommy, it hurts." I looked, but couldn't find anything wrong with him at the time. I bathed him when we got home, and it was at that point that I found a welt on his left buttock.
Upon investigation, it seemed as if there was something like a splinter under the welt. I made an appointment for the next day to have it removed, but in the meantime he started vomiting and shaking, then his eyes rolled back into his head.
We immediately went to the emergency room, and my only son died later that night. It turned out that the welt on his buttock was the tip of a hypodermic needle that had broken off inside. The autopsy revealed that Kevin had died from heroine overdose. The next day, the police removed the balls from the ball pit and lo and behold, there was rotten food, several hypodermic needles (thrown in by employees? cleaning people? customers with a weird sense of humor?) half-eaten candy, diapers, feces, and the stench of urine.
If a child is not safe in a child's play area, then where? If you question the validity of this story, you can find the article on Kevin Archer in the October 10, 1994 issue of the Houston Chronicle.
Please forward this to all loving mothers and fathers"

This sounds like an urban legend.
February 13, 2001 A hoax (or possible hoax) that you missed. It is the moon landing hoax. Though all of the history books say that the apollos landed on the moon several times there are several things that make it seem that it was impossible. First off, in some of the pictures there are unexplainable objects in the reflections in the space helmets. Second, the reverse thrusters that were used to help the capsule land would have had to give out such a huge amount of force that it would have kicked up an immense amount of dust and left the capsule to land in a crater. in the pictures you can clearly see that they are not in a creater and there is no dust that settled on the capsule. There is even one picture that shows a footprint underneath the capsule. Reasently the suits that were suposedly worn on the moon were locked up, never to be seen again (or there was at least talk about it). The reason given is that they are starting to decompose and must be protected, but don't you think that if these suits were made to handle the heat and lack of atmosphere of the moon that they would last more than 30 years. the theory is that now our technology is so great that if anyone actully examined the suits that they would find that there was no possible way that they would be able to survive in space. On earth some of the stars are blocked by the atmosphere that we must look through to see them. on the moon there is no atmosphere so the sky should be full of stars and yet in every picture taken from the moon there is not one single star in the sky. There are several other arguments for this theory. A book about it is called "Nasa Mooned America" and there are several web sights that describe it in detail.
You might argue that this is not proven to be a hoax so you do not want it but, you did include the "did marco polo go to china?" and that has not been proven either. it seems to have even less evidence that the moon landing hoax. I hope to see it here soon.
Thank you for your time and your very interesting web sight.
