Pacific Northwest Tree Octopus

image You will find the Pacific Northwest Tree Octopus high in the trees of Washington State's Olympic National Forest. They spend their early lives in the water of Puget Sound, but as they mature they move upwards, adopting an arboreal existence. They use their eight arms to swing from branch to branch, as well as to grab small prey such as insects and frogs. During their mating season they return to the water, but soon after resume their life in the forest.

The tree octopus population is under great pressure from the encroachments of the modern world: logging, roads, pollution, and overhunting by trappers eager to sell the octopuses as ornamental decorations for hats. As a result, the species is close to extinction. The Save the Pacific Northwest Tree Octopus organization has long been attempting to raise awareness of this animal and its plight. They urge concerned citizens to write to their congressional representative about this problem.

k, what exactly is the point of this? other than exposing/confusing gullible people (which i guess is a good thing, they probably need help to find reallity) but what the heck is the point? someone has an overactive imagination (i think they need to write stories or something, they might really sell.) so meh. GROW UP PEOPLE (i'm not wasting my time on here, it's some crappy english project on Reliable Web Resources) haha.

OK, this is very false. I live in the northwest in WA and theres no such thing. One of my teachers was in a meeting with other teachers in the east of the USA and some kid did an animal report on this!! o___o How stupid are some people, to believe this. The site that did this also listed the Rock Ness Monster, the Mountain Warlus... talk about being on crack! How would people in the east of the northwest like it if we made some weird animal and said it was real. This has damaged my life because people always ask me, "is the tree octopus real?" or "Where can we find the rare tree octopus?".
